vanilla oil extraction equipment

Product Detail

Vanilla extraction requires efficient extraction of flavor active ingredients such as vanilla from vanilla planifolia or V. tahitensis. Due to the strong thermal sensitivity and high lipid solubility of vanilla ingredients, the equipment requires precise temperature and pressure control, as well as adaptation to different solvent systems such as ethanol, water, or supercritical CO ₂ extractor.,etc

At present, the mainstream vanilla extraction equipment is mainly multi-functional dynamic/countercurrent extraction tank and supercritical CO ₂ extraction system, giving consideration to efficiency, safety and GMP compliance, and is suitable for the food, pharmaceutical and essence industries.

vanilla extraction equipment Essential oil distillation/extraction integrated machine, supporting multiple modes such as steam distillation, warm soaking, and hot reflux; Can process aromatic oil and organic solvent recovery

Product advantages
1. Efficient and energy-saving
Using a thermal oil indirect heating or steam direct heating system, the temperature rises quickly (up to 100 ℃) and energy consumption is reduced by 30% compared to traditional distillation.
The dual condensation design operates in conjunction, shortening the extraction cycle and improving the collection rate of essential oils.
2. Quality assurance
Low temperature vacuum distillation (optional) preserves the thermosensitive components of vanilla (such as vanillin) to avoid high-temperature oxidation.
The oil-water separator adopts high borosilicate glass pipeline to achieve full visual operation and ensure the purity of essential oil.
3. Easy to operate
The automation control system (touch screen/PLC) supports parameter presetting, and a single person can complete the entire process of feeding, distillation, and separation.
The upper cover structure+pneumatic slag gate solves the problem of material blockage and improves cleaning efficiency by 50%.
4. Safety and Environmental Protection
Fully enclosed 304 stainless steel material, in compliance with GMP standards, with no risk of solvent residue.
Wastewater circulation system reduces pollution and is suitable for production in ecologically sensitive areas

Equipment structure
1. Core components
Extraction tank: jacketed distillation basket (capacity 30L -1000L optional), with built-in steam distributor to evenly penetrate the material.
Condensation system: A tubular condenser (area 0.25-8.95 ㎡) paired with an ice water unit to rapidly liquefy steam.
Oil water separator: multi-stage glass pipeline (diameter ≤ 20mm), using density difference to automatically layer and collect essential oils.
2. Auxiliary module
The vacuum pump (-0.08MPa) lowers the boiling point and protects the thermosensitive components.
360 ° rotating cleaning ball+PT100 temperature sensor, ensuring hygiene and accuracy
technical features
1. Material and craftsmanship
Inner mirror polishing (Ra ≤ 0.45 μ m), outer wall matte treatment to eliminate hygiene blind spots.
Three layer insulation structure (inner liner+heating layer+polyurethane foam), with a heat loss rate of ≤ 5%.
2. Intelligent control
The dynamic display system monitors temperature, pressure, and liquid level in real time, and automatically alarms when exceeding the limit.
Support multi-mode switching of co distillation, separated distillation, and vacuum distillation

working principle
Based on steam distillation method (applicable to 90% vanilla):
Penetration stage: Steam penetrates the broken vanilla tissue (cell wall), and the essential oil vaporizes with the steam due to its volatility.
Condensation stage: The mixed gas is rapidly cooled to 20-30 ℃ by a condenser and converted into an oil-water mixture.
Separation stage: The mixed liquid enters the oil-water separator, and the essential oil (density 0.88-0.91g/cm ³) floats up, while the flower water sinks and is discharged.
Alternative processes:
Supercritical CO ₂ extraction: suitable for high-end vanilla essential oils (such as vanilla), with no high-temperature residue but high cost.
Ultrasonic assisted: 20-80kHz cavitation effect breaks through the wall, increasing extraction rate by 17% (see Peony stamen case)
process flow
A [Raw material pretreatment] -->B [Steam distillation]
B -->C [Condensation liquefaction]
C -->D [oil-water separation]
D -->E [Essential oil drying]
E -->F [Finished product filling]
Pre treatment: Wash and cut the vanilla into sections (1-2cm) to increase the specific surface area.
Distillation: The raw materials are loaded into a distillation basket and steam is introduced at 100-110 ℃ for 1-2 hours (adjusted according to the oil yield).
Separation: The initial distillate is left to stand for 4-8 hours, and the separated essential oil is dried with anhydrous sodium sulfate to remove water

Application field
Daily chemical industry: high-end perfume, skin care products (such as vanillin based moisturizer).
Food processing: natural essence (ice cream, baking additives).
Research and Medical Care:
University laboratory: component analysis, extraction process optimization.
Chinese herbal preparations: extraction of analgesic and anti-inflammatory active ingredients.
Agricultural deep processing:
On site extraction of planting bases to reduce material transportation losses.
