Product Detail
Product Description
Molecular distillation is a special liquid - liquid separation equipment. It is different from the traditional distillation equipment which depends on the principle of boiling point difference, but depends on the difference of the average free path of the different substances movement to achieve the separation. There are four main types of molecular distillation: falling film, scraping film, centrifugal and scraping plate type. Among them, the scraping plate distillation system is more popular than other types.
Molecular distillation technology is a special liquid-liquid separation technology, which is a new separation technology emerging from the continuous development of gas Vacuum distillation technology under vacuum. At present, molecular distillation technology has become an important branch of separation technology.
Molecular distillation, also known as short path distillation, is a continuous distillation process carried out under high vacuum (residual gas molecule pressure<0.1Pa). The molecular distillation process is different from the traditional distillation process. The traditional distillation is separated at the boiling point temperature. The evaporation and condensation process is reversible, and the liquid and vapor phases will form an equilibrium state. Molecular distillation process is an irreversible distillation process that occurs at a temperature far from the atmospheric boiling point of a substance. It is the process of molecular evaporation
Application
In petrochemical production, researchers have successfully used molecular distillation technology to treat silicone oil, polyethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol ether, acrylonitrile, amine, bisphenols, Caprolactam, Cumene peroxide, dioctyl Phthalic acid, epoxy resin, glycol, rosin, etc. Alexander et al. also successfully utilized molecular distillation technology to recover waste engine oil and obtain high-grade lubricant raw materials from petroleum.
