2、 Whole process technology and equipment composition
1. Pre treatment section
Function: Clean, cut, crush, weigh medicinal herbs, remove sediment and impurities, ensure the uniformity of raw materials, and lay the foundation for efficient extraction.
Core equipment: cleaning machine, cutting machine, crusher, weighing tank.
2. Extraction section
Function: Fully dissolve the active ingredients (alkaloids, flavonoids, polysaccharides, volatile oils, etc.) in medicinal materials to achieve preliminary solid-liquid separation.
Core equipment: multifunctional extraction tank (atmospheric/depressurization/pressurization), hot reflux extraction tank, ultrasonic extraction tank, volatile oil extractor; Support water extraction, alcohol extraction, and hot reflux cyclic extraction.
Key parameters: extraction temperature 40-100 ℃, extraction time 1-3 h/time, extraction frequency 2-3 times, solid-liquid ratio 1:8-1:12.
3. Separation and crude purification stage
Function: Remove large particle impurities such as drug residues, fibers, colloids, etc., obtain clear extraction solution, and reduce subsequent concentration load.
Core equipment: Tripod centrifuge, tube/disc separator, plate and frame filter, 200-400 mesh bag filter.
4. Precision purification section (core)
Function: Graded removal of impurities, enrichment of active ingredients, and improvement of extract purity and quality consistency.
Core processes and equipment:
Membrane separation: Ultrafiltration (UF, molecular weight cut-off of 100 kDa -0.18 μ m) removes large molecular impurities; Nanofiltration (NF, 200-1000 Da) concentration and desalination to retain small molecule active ingredients.
Chromatography purification: ion exchange column, silica gel column, macroporous adsorption resin, targeted separation of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, etc.
Water sedimentation/alcohol sedimentation: removes impurities such as starch, protein, and tannins, and improves the purity of the extract.
5. Concentration section
Function: Low temperature solvent removal, volume reduction, preparation of high concentration paste, protection of thermosensitive components.
Core equipment: vacuum pressure reducing concentration tank, dual/multi effect concentrator, thin film concentrator; Concentrate at a temperature of 50-70 ℃, vacuum degree of -0.05~-0.08 MPa, and concentrate to a relative density of 1.10-1.35 (measured at 50-60 ℃).
Advantages: Energy saving and efficient, short concentration time, good retention of paste color and effective ingredients.
6. Drying and post-processing section
Function: Make concentrated extract into dry powder, granules or paste for easy storage, transportation and formulation molding.
Core equipment: centrifugal spray dryer, vacuum freeze dryer, hot air circulation oven, granulator.
