The ultrasonic cavitation reactor induces the generation and violent collapse of tiny bubbles in the liquid through high-frequency vibration (i.e. cavitation effect), significantly enhancing chemical reactions or physical treatment processes, and is widely used in fields such as material synthesis, wastewater treatment, and biological extraction.
Ultrasonic cavitation reactor is a device that uses ultrasonic energy to induce cavitation phenomenon in liquid medium. When high-intensity ultrasound is transmitted into a liquid, a low-pressure zone is generated locally, forming tiny bubbles (cavities). These bubbles rapidly collapse in the high-pressure zone, releasing enormous instantaneous energy - manifested as local high temperatures (up to 5000 K), high pressures (hundreds of atmospheres), as well as strong shock waves and microjets. This extreme environment can effectively accelerate molecular diffusion, break agglomerated particles, promote interfacial mass transfer, and even activate chemical bond breaking and recombination.
Compared to other types of cavitation methods such as photo induced cavitation and hydraulic cavitation, ultrasonic cavitation reactor has the advantages of precise control, flexible operation, and wide applicability.
