vacuum concentrator system

Product Detail

background

Vacuum concentration systems are widely used in the fields of pharmaceuticals, food, biology, and traditional Chinese medicine extraction, especially for efficient and low loss concentration of thermosensitive materials such as DNA, fruit juice, medicinal liquids, plant extracts, etc. Compared with atmospheric concentration, it reduces system pressure to boil solvents (such as water and ethanol) at lower temperatures, thereby avoiding thermal denaturation or oxidation of active ingredients.

The multifunctional extraction tank is suitable for various process operations in the traditional Chinese medicine, food, and chemical industries, including atmospheric pressure, micro pressure, water decoction, warm soaking, hot reflux, forced circulation leakage, aromatic oil extraction, and organic solvent recovery. It has the advantages of high efficiency and convenient operation. Can be applied to water extraction, alcohol extraction, volatile oil extraction in traditional Chinese medicine extraction process, and can recover solvents in the residue.
The main tank and auxiliary equipment are made of SUS316L or SUS304 stainless steel at all points of contact, which meets the requirements of the 2010 version of GMP for pharmaceuticals, ensuring the quality and long service life of the drugs.

Typical process flow (taking traditional Chinese medicine/plant extraction and concentration as an example)
Step 1: Preprocessing and Feeding
Add medicinal herbs to the extraction tank, add water or organic solvents (such as ethanol) in proportion, and start the jacket steam heating until boiling.
Step 2: Vacuum establishment and low-temperature evaporation
Start the vacuum system (such as a water ring pump or two-stage injector), reduce the system pressure to the set value (such as -0.08 MPa), and lower the boiling point; The material liquid continues to evaporate at low temperatures, producing secondary steam.
Step 3: vapor-liquid separation and condensation recovery
The secondary steam enters the condenser through the riser and is condensed into a hot condensate by cooling water or freezing medium; Part of the hot condensate flows back to the top of the extraction tank as new solvent, while the rest enters the solvent storage tank for recovery.
Step 4: Enrichment and discharge of concentrated solution
After evaporation, the remaining concentrated liquid is pumped into the concentration tank through a pipeline pump for further concentration until it reaches the target specific gravity (such as 1.2-1.34), and then released into a paste; The medicine residue is discharged through the slag gate.
Step 5: System Cleaning and Maintenance
After the process is completed, clean water or steam is introduced for online cleaning (CIP), and the vacuum system needs to be checked for sealing and pump body status

Characteristics of vacuum concentrator system
1. Due to the high-speed dissolution of solutes, short extraction time, and synchronous concentration and extraction, it only takes 7-8 hours for medicinal materials to be concentrated into ointment, resulting in high equipment utilization.
2. Due to the use of concentrated secondary steam as the heat source for extraction, the extraction solution drawn into the concentrator is at the same temperature as the concentration, which can save more than 50% of steam and result in very little heat loss.
3. The amount of solvent input is reduced, and only one solvent needs to be added to extract medicinal materials from the tank, which can be recycled in a sealed equipment. The solvents in the medicine residue and liquid can be basically recovered (with a loss rate of less than 5%), so the amount of solvent used is small, the consumption is low, and the production cost is significantly reduced.
4. The yield of ointment can be increased by 10% -15% compared to traditional techniques, and the content of active ingredients can be doubled. Due to the one-time injection of solvent, a large reflux cycle can be achieved, maintaining a high gradient between the solute concentration in the medicinal herbs and the solute concentration in the solvent. So the solutes in medicinal herbs dissolve quickly. The yield of ointment and active ingredients has significantly increased, laying a solid foundation for the qualitative and quantitative identification of drugs.
5. One machine with multiple functions (separate extraction, separate concentration, simultaneous extraction and concentration), compact structure, and easy operation. A set of equipment can be operated by one person, with a small footprint, saving on intermediate storage tanks, and low investment costs.
6. The entire equipment is made of SUS304 stainless steel and produced in a fully sealed pipeline, which reduces environmental pollution and meets GMP requirements.
7. This equipment is equipped with supporting accessories such as vacuum pump, liquid pump, filter, liquid receiving tank, control cabinet, etc. ·The equipment is divided into steam heating and electric heating or dual-use. After purchasing, the equipment can be used by simply connecting water, electricity or steam.
8. The equipment is fully functional, suitable for water extraction and alcohol extraction, capable of atmospheric and negative pressure extraction, and can recover volatile oils. Configure vacuum conversion and control box, easy to operate, can achieve room temperature extraction and low-temperature concentration; Extraction and concentration at room temperature; Process requirements for low-temperature extraction and concentration.
9. The electric heating structure design is advanced, efficient, safe, fast in heating and cooling, and evenly heated. The tank is equipped with a safety pressure relief device to ensure safe use.

Application field
The vacuum concentration system is widely used in various high demand industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, biotechnology, chemical engineering, and environmental protection. Its core value lies in efficiently concentrating thermosensitive materials under low temperature, closed, and controllable conditions, while retaining active ingredients, recovering solvents, and reducing energy consumption and pollution.
Pharmaceutical and Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry
Low temperature extraction of traditional Chinese medicine water/alcohol extracts (to avoid degradation of thermosensitive components such as flavonoids and saponins);
Buffer replacement and volume reduction of biopharmaceuticals (such as proteins, peptides, and vaccine stock solutions);
Small batch, high-precision concentration and solvent recovery of valuable medicinal materials and new drug development in the pilot stage;
Simultaneous extraction and condensation collection of volatile oils (such as menthol and eucalyptus oil)
