Typical process flow
Taking dynamic hot reflux extraction and concentration as an example:
Preprocessing: Grind the medicinal herbs and load them into an extraction tank (with a filter basket).
Extraction stage:
Add solvent (water/ethanol) → Heat (thermal oil or steam) → Start stirring or ultrasound assisted.
The volatile oil components are recovered through a condenser and oil-water separator.
Concentrate and purify:
Extract the liquid and transfer it to a concentration tank → vacuum evaporation (40-60 ℃) → concentrate it to the target specific gravity (1.1-1.4).
The solvent vapor is condensed and refluxed to the extraction tank for recycling.
Post processing:
Electric lifting of drug residue discharge → collection or drying of concentrated solution.
Special process options:
Soxhlet extraction: suitable for small batch high-purity extraction.
